FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Leah Black spends half of her week hidden away hiking in the mountains, or sitting by a forest stream being inspired for content to fill her new book with the voice of Nature, or sensing special exercises for your sessions. You will not find many videos or podcasts etc. of Leah; that's just not her scene. Nor does she post loads of photographs on Instagram, but there are a few videos and images for you to gain a sense of Leah, her ponderings, presence, lifestyle and approach. Also, see her answers below to FAQs, visit her Patreon Page and book a free consultation.

How do I pay? After your free consultation, if we decide to work together you'll receive an email from leah@ecoinnersense.com with an invoice, Ecoinnersense agreement and a link to make a payment via PayPal.

Can I get a refund? No. You will pay upfront for whichever sessions or packages you choose. Book a free consultation first to check if we 'gel' to work together. Important Note: You can currently pay in 3 interest free installments through PayPal if you're eligible for this. It is why Ecoinnersense chose PayPal to ensure most people could afford sessions.

What frequency would you recommend? The most popular option is fortnightly. However, this depends on you and your preferences, finances and situation. People who are feeling highly anxious and stressed may chose weekly natural mindfulness sessions to help them gain a quicker sense of calm. People may do the full day option to take a deep dive into seeking their purpose. People doing the mentorship will find it works better fortnightly for at least four months, or, once monthly for a whole year for just £560. And, some people want to test Ecoinnersense out and may just book one half-day or one-hour session.

Where can I find testimonials and reviews on your mentoring and coaching? You can find some 1-2-1 client testimonials HERE and LinkedIn recommendations from employers, managers, co-workers, trainees, group participants and my clients on LinkedIn HERE. I'm not pushy for reviews!

I'm doing the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage through Asturias, can we meet in person? It's certainly possible - on the full day rate.

Can I take a break if I book a block of sessions? Life happens, so yes of course.

If I need to cancel, what notice do I need to provide you with to ensure I still get my session in the future and don't loose my money? If you're ill or have an unexpected emergency you'll need to provide at least 3 hours notice, but if it's for other reasons the more notice the better so I can re-arrange my time. Most practitioners ask for at least 24 or 48-hours notice to cancel, or you'll loose your money. I find that ridiculous - It's rare to know if you're going to be sick or have an emergency the day before and I respect that.

I'm scared of being in Nature alone, is this still right for me? Yes, many people are. We'll work at your pace to meet your circumstances and needs. Not all activities are based outside in Nature. I'll find where you feel most comfortable and we can build on that. Museums, art galleries, tropical houses, cemeteries, Nature reserves, churches, allotments, parks, urban wildlife, garden centres, your garden, hiking trails etc. are some examples.

I'm already connected with Nature and/or my spirituality, so is this worth it? Absolutely. You'll deepen your connection further. We never stop growing, and our purpose, perspectives, spirituality and mystical experiences are ever flowing and evolving.

Can I be outdoors during our 1-2-1 sessions? 100% yes, if you want to, but you don't have to.

I'm bed ridden at home or in hospital, can I still do this? Yes. It would be my honor to support you. I'd bring Nature's essence and/or a sense of spirituality to where you are, and provide you with my deep listening and conversation. Sometimes I'm homebound for several weeks with my condition; so, I've found ways to support myself and others during illness and the frustration of being stuck indoors or immobile. Nature is always there, no matter what; indoors or outdoors - everywhere!

Are you a therapist? No. And I do not provide therapy. For the past two years I led a team of 20+ wellbeing coaches and therapists. But, I am not a therapist and I am aware of my ethical boundaries. See my LinkedIn to find out more. Since I lived in Ecuador 13-years ago, I have worked with psychotherapists, psychiatrists and counsellors in liaison roles to support communication, their client's sense of safety and through matching services. Becoming a therapist though was never an interest of mine, nor was psychology - the spirit, senses and soul intrigue me much more. I have studied ecotherapy however, as for me Nature is my therapist. And, knowing my ecological-self, as a part of Nature, felt much more important than self-awareness and personal development; which can take our senses away from Nature and keep us stuck in the space of the head. This is why traditional coaching, mindfulness and therapy just aren't for me!

Are you psychic? I do have active extra-sensory abilities and I trained as a medium between the ages of 16-19 years old. I mostly work with these abilities to psychically sense and/or commune with Nature, Nature spirits and the ancient ancestors of the land. I have a deep sense of intuition, seership and exceptionally high levels of empathy. I also sense, quite strongly, memories captured in 'place'; especially sacred sites. And, I am currently training in Mystical Mediumship and Therapeutic Shamanism (not psychedelics!).

Do you provide tarot readings? If requested, I work closely with Tarot and Oracle cards to help people connect and commune with Nature, their purpose and spirituality. We explore the imagery and essence of the cards through intuition, other senses and symbology. These explorations are not fortune telling and they don't predict the future. And, I must legally inform you that any engagement with Tarot or Oracle cards is for entertainment purposes only.

Have you always described yourself as a hermit? No. I've always valued time alone in Nature and sought solitude. But, I also thrive working on large projects with big groups of people; even staying in local communities - I am super passionate about different cultures and religions and have stayed with tribes (not touristy stuff) several times. However, I need to be alone often. Nowadays, living here in this isolated spot, and often being alone for several days and nights in Nature, I'm evolving into my true being and becoming somewhat of a hermit. When I write, I can disappear into a space of natural solace for weeks!

Why do you say you're a Nature Mystic? An answer to this would be too long. Maybe I'll record a video soon, or write a blog on it. I do however struggle with what to call myself, yet when this label came to me it felt "right" somehow! Although it is mostly related to three spiritual experiences I had that changed my life forever, when I received guidance and a mission from Nature during them. I was inspired to use the term when reading the works of late biologist, author and scholar of religious experience Sir Alister Hardy.

If you're so isolated, what's your internet connection like? I have two homes, one in a mountain village of just 15 residents where I work half the week. It's connected to high-speed fiberoptic 1GB per second wifi. My other home is a very isolated cabin at the peak of a mountain range with no neighbours at all, where my internet connection is by mobile with an internet 'dongle'. You'll notice I only hold our 1-2-1 sessions in the village, because of this. The half or full-day options in Nature are held at my remote cabin; usually outdoors online. I only ever arrange one full day session a week to suit my clients' availability. For the remaining three days I write, switch off the phone, hike and connect to an-other alone in solitude.

Are you religious? I believe humans are spiritual by nature, so I personally feel like a spiritual being. I hold pantheistic and animistic beliefs and I do believe in 'God' in my own way. But, I do not follow a specific religion; although, I currently study Religious Experience and learn as much as I can about religion. I respect all religions and am fascinated by ancient mystics and indigenous cultures.

Why do you do this? Because it's my calling, and I believe the answers you may seek (or those that unexpectedly arise through extraordinary experiences) can be found deep within you in the quiet of Nature, contemplation and sacred places. My wish is for all people to realise their natural human potential. Because, soul growth and spiritual development could bring about a much more peaceful, less destructive and kinder humanity by re-connecting us with our natural roots and reminding us of our Nature connected past.
